I spotted a newish book a few weeks ago while visiting Leavenworth that should be interesting for the denizens of this fine establishment:
War Horse: A History of the Military Horse and Rider by Louis A. DiMarco
Looks interesting, especially for the horsey folks amongst us. Also, while trying to remember the title, I found this other book dealing with the cavalry horse:
War Horse: Mounting the Cavalry with America's Finest Horses by Phil Livingston and Ed Roberts
Be good (or at least careful!),

Got it last year as a gift from my wife. Has a lot of good breeding/genetic info in it which I really liked.
