A new book on the LBH, "The Day The World Ended At Little BigHorn" by the Rosebud Sioux historian and author, Joseph M. Marshall III, is out this month. The book " brings the reader into the Lakota side of the events that led to the battle of 1876, and its devastating aftermath for the bands of the proud people of the Northern Plains."
Havn't read it yet, but it should be an interesting read from the "other" perspective. From Penguin Books, NYC, 264 pages, $15 paperbound.

Actually the book was published last year. This might be the first paper edition. I haven't read it yet, either, but Marshall is invariably readable and is an honest and forthright historian IMO.
