My father's grandmother told him that she had seen Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show in Argentina. I am not sure of the timing, but this would have been around the turn of the twentieth century. I have found no record of Buffalo Bill going to South America and I wondered whether she was simply referring to a generic wild west show that she had seen. She told my dad about this in the 1940s, so it is possible that her memory was a bit vague.
Does anyone know if Buffalo Bill did by any chance go to South America?

Thanks Elisabeth,
The only trouble with this is the timing. I thought that it was before 1913. I'll make more enquiries.

I agree, the timing is wrong.
In 1913, Buffalo Bill's show went bankrupt, and after that he was reduced for the last few years of his life to appearing as an attraction in other peoples' shows.
I am quite sure that Buffalo Bill never went to South America. He doesn't even appear to have made it to Mexico.
I have a list of dates and venues from the Buffalo Bill Historical Center, and there is nothing about Argentina or South America in that, certainly not after 1913.
