There was an article in today's (March 25,2006) News-Press, a local Fort Myers, FL, newspaper, about a scuptor named Terry Jones. He spends his winters in Fort Myers, but otherwise he lives in Newtown Square, PA. Apparently his work is quite well-known. One of his works is a beautifully done bronze of Custer's Last Stand, a 3- or 4-figure (plus a downed horse) work, a color picture of which is included the article. The article was written by a Charles Runnells (crunnells@news-press.com). If anyone is interested, Runnells seems to be fairly accessable by e-mail. His detail looks rather good; Custer's hair is actually short!
Best wishes, Fred.

Nice piece of work; I wonder how we could describe that guidon, eh? But Fred, I was wondering for a moment what a Monty Python member could contribute to Custeriana ... not enough caffeine yet, I suppose. LMC "We're going into that valley and take back the spam." "But sir, there must be ten-thousand cans of spam in that valley. There isn't enough silverware in the regiment to handle it and we left our cutlery behind." "We've been ordered to bring back that spam for the July Fourth party and by god we're going to do it! We'll have it tied up and boxed in a day." "Sir, we're surrounded!" "How'd that happen?" **Ah ha, no one expects the Spamish Indianquisition!** (I don't have enough caffeine left to to part two yet.)
