I have always been interested in the Indian side of the story. With so much to read it took me a little while get around ordering, but I finally received my copy of Wooden Leg A Warrior Who Fought With Custer Interpreted by Thomas B. Marquis with the new introduction by Richard Littlebear and Lakota Recollections of the Custer Fight, New Soures of Indian - Miltary History compiled and edited by Richard G. Hardorff, Itroduction by Jerome A. Greene.
Of course I have seen many references to both of these books and many excerpts from them while reading and listening to lectures over the years.
From what I can see thus far, these two books are excellent! Last night I picked up Wooden Leg and went straight to the LBH chapter and found it very interesting. It is like sitting and listening to one of these vets spill his guts out. It is ashamed that for so many years thier side of the story was ignored.
I am looking forward to reading them both and glad to now have them in my Custer Library.
