Has anyone got this? Is it worth having?
I've just read a description that says it's got '40 never-before-published paintings' by Red Horse, which ought to justify its existence whatever the text may be like. Recommendations, anyone?

I have the book and it is an excellent view of modern day Indians, stories about the LBH, the Crow Scouts, Custer, and oral tradition. Many great photos of Indians who fought at the LBH in later life, their descendants, and Red Horse's pictographs are outstanding, kinda explicit but certainly not the gory stuff we see today. It's a coffee-table sized book, but the photos of past and present Native Americans are great! I recommend it.

Thanks, Crzhrs -- sounds great! Will have to order it.
'Coffee-table sized' is the clincher for me. So far I've only seen Red Horse's pictographs in small scale (and then only a few of them). The prospect of seeing them in large enough scale to try to follow the story he's telling is just irresistible.
