It is my sad duty to announce the passing of Norm Johnson, who made his journey to Fiddler's Green on Sept. 25. Norm was known for many years as the pre-eminent reenactor/living historian who portrayed General George Crook. He served as our Commander of the Department of the Platte. Norm had been very ill with congenital heart failure for the past several years which caused him to retire from active duty in the field. He was a wonderful man who will be fondly remembered by all reenactors who had the pleasure of knowing him. Below is a picture of him taken at LBH in 2001: from left: Gen.
