It is with a very heavy heart that I inform our ranks of the passing of a very close friend and one of the world's best Buffalo Bill Cody reenactors that I have seen. Ebb Tarr, of Cody, Wy, passed away at his home on March 16, 2007, due to the advanced effects of cancer. I was just informed of this fact last night from our own Col. Custer, thus the delay in the announcement. Ebb's photos are listed at the Custer Clan site under 'Buffalo Bill' groups.msn.com/TheCusterClan/custerclanvii.msnw I spent two weeks as Ebb's house guest in Cody back in 2000 and can still see him at the local dance saloon 'Cassie's' (which he frequented every Friday & Saturday nights) holding court and having a wonderful time with all of his friends there, and they were many. Jim West, who portrayed "Wild Bill Hickok (now retired) and Joe Desson, who portrayed Lt. Cooke (now retired) are fellow residents of Cody and very good friends of Ebb's, as is our own Col. Tom Custer, who once lived in Cody many years ago. To know Ebb was to love him as wonderful human being and a man of great integrity. For me, it was an honor to have known him and to have called him a true friend and brother. Farewell Partner. We will meet again in a better world. Col. Myles Keogh

I'm very sorry to hear of his death. He was a fine Buffalo Bill and added to the enjoyment of a visit to Cody.
