ANNOUNCEMENT
To all serious reenactors of the 7th Cavalry....Permission has been granted by a local landowner adjacent to the LBH Battlefield to allow a Cavalry Reenactor Camp to be established on his property from June 20 to 25, 2007. This camp is for the serious minded reenactor who wishes to take his impression to the next level. We will be doing significant riding and maneuvers across the battlefield including demonstrations for the tourists and various Custer groups who annually travel to the LBH on the anniversary weekend of the battle. To this end we have some special activities planned that have not been done before. If you are a reenactor and are interested in joining us this summer, please contact myself or 2nd Lt. Sturgis for more information on this event. There will be a horse wrangler on site for those who need to acquire a mount.

I am sad to inform our members that plans to kick off the start of our new camp at LBH this summer have been postponed due to the difficulties expressed by a number of our FAD members in undertaking this commitment. After much discussion among our rank and file, it was decided to postpone our activities for this year and focus on properly organizing it for the summer of 2008. I would like to recommend the Buffalo Days Fight and encampment as an alternative for those reenactors looking for an authentic experience of the Indian War period.

I'm planning a two-week visit to the battlefield and environs next year, but cannot take part in your festivities due to physical limitations. I'll stop by for some hardtack, bacon and green coffee if our timings happen to coincide .
Wish you all every success.
Gordie, Sergeant Sefton

When I get closer to firming up my plans, with dates and such like, I'll be in touch. Another member and I might be arranging a tour, if he can free up time; but I'll be there in any event. Horses are not an option with me any longer; my titanium and steel body parts forbid it, and my back is getting worse instead of better. It hurts just to think about forking a bronc.
Gordie, you figures me right; I'm a good one I claim. Do you happen to have any bad ones to tame?.......
