Hello All!
I have been asked by Mrs. Custer to share this with the Indian Wars staff. From October 1-7, the city of Monroe Michigan will be hosting "Custer Week". This involves a variety of Custer related events throughout the week with period encampments on the 1st and 7th.
Custer Week will be a full week of activities in Monroe, Michigan. Anyone who is available to attire and attend on Sunday, October 1st and Saturday, October 7th would be greatly appreciated. Obviously they would be welcome at all of the events but these days will provide more opportunity for historical education and presentations to the public.
This promises to be a very interesting event and since it is in October, those of us with a very busy re-enacting schedule might be able to make it more easily during the "off-season". Please contact either myself or the General for any questions or for more information.

I know that Mrs. Custer is working very hard to make Custer Week special. Anyone who has been to something she has planned knows that she always goes the extra mile to make an event memorable. Sitting Bull's grandson and Paul Hutton will be there at different points during the week. For a schedule of Custer Week activities, go to www.georgecuster.com and click "Steve's Events" on the left menu bar. A link to the Custer Week event schedule is under the Real Birds poster.

looks like Monroe has decided that the Raisen River Massacre just doesn't draw tourists.
