To all, Just a quick line to find out how many Indian wars infantry reenactors there are out there. And what units.
Our unit is the 23rd Infantry in the Arizona Territory from 1872 - 1874.

I have an infantry kit complete, but have never done an IW infantry reenactment...so am not a member of a unit. Usually I do cavalry.

Hey you guys!
I am not a re-enactor, but I just thought I would let you guys know that I think you are great! And what a value you provide us all.
Best wishes, Fred.

Fred, Thank you. You have to admit it's a strange and weird hobby...but one filled with lots of insight. When one reads of things from then we reenactors can say; 'Oh yeah, I kinda know what they mean', having actually experienced some of it for ourselves. Of course we will never know about it completely--nor would we want to. But we do have an idea of some of their trials and tribulations.

You do know that the 23rd US Infantry has a battle streamer from the Little Big Horn. We had some officers in charge of some scouts..
