I just wanted to let all of you know that Diane Merkel has just undergone extremely serious heart surgery. It was almost a day-long operation and she will have to go through another tomorrow, though not as complicated. She will be spending the rest of this week in the ICU, then hopefully they will move her to another room where she can rest. Overall, she has been extremely tired, but that's natural.
I would hope all of you send her your best wishes, prayers, and all the love you can muster up for one of the nicest and loveliest people I know.
My sincerest best wishes to all of you who keep these boards active... you are all damn fine people and my thanks go out to each and every one of you.

I only "knew" Diane from this website but she appears to be a very nice person so I'm hoping she recuperates quickly and can get back to enjoying this forum and life in general!
