Whether the Indians knew about an attack on the village at the LBH is still debatable. One quote that I find interesting is from the warrior Low Dog who stated (Paraphrase) "The village was so large we did not think anyone would attack it" That could mean a couple of things: We had enough warriors to handle any attack or whoever attacked such a large village was crazy. Check out this image of Low Dog. He doesn't look like someone you would want to fight: i.pinimg.com/originals/19/30/de/1930de5dfce1d062db85f12e1d07f324.jpgWhy not? I would think don't bring a tomahawk to a gunfight. Regards AZ Ranger

It wasn't so much the tomahawk that was menacing it was just the physical appearance of Low Dog.
