Hello all! I'm posting here (I apologize if this is in the wrong section of the forum) to ask a favor from the good people of this board. As part of a school project, I was asked to write a research paper on a subject of my choice (a portion of it must include a survey of some kind). Given my longstanding fascination with the Little Bighorn story, I chose to write about that--particularly, how it is remembered and why it plays such a prominent role in how Americans see their past. As part of the survey portion of the paper, I created a short survey (5 questions) dealing with how the respondent first became familiar with the Little Bighorn story and how they perceive it, etc. I would really appreciate it if you would be kind enough to take a few moments to fill out the survey (linked below)--don't feel like you have to write too much; I would be extremely grateful for even a sentence for each question. Whatever you guys write would, I'm sure, be extremely helpful and I'm really grateful for your consideration. Thanks again for your help, and I hope everyone has a wonderful evening. Thanks in advance, Sandy Survey link: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSebnfbOhu1Lg-wdB3hlKVWSzU-HDhAuIQLGHlBLhoiNAf3XKQ/viewform?usp=sf_link

how it is remembered and why it plays such a prominent role in how Americans see their past. I`ll just double check, even if it seems pretty clear; this is meant for US citizens only, not us... eh, foreigners isn`t quite right on a board, but from the rest of the world? All the best, Noggy

It may be for US citizens, but the gist of the question can be the same for any Colonial Power and their treatment of Native People a la Iswandlanda, etc.

Noggy,
Thanks for your comment; the way I phrased my original post would seem to exclude those from outside the US. However, in retrospect I think this probably wasn't right of me--the LBH story is very much a global phenomenon, and someone from outside the US would have just as much to add and just as valuable a perspective as someone who has lived here all their lives. If you want to fill out this survey, then that'd be extremely helpful and I'd be very very grateful--regardless of where you're from, your contribution is just as important to me. Thanks again, and also a big thank you to y'all who already filled out the survey! I really appreciate it.
Best regards, Sandy
