This is a documentary series on History Channel from. At least here, the first episode is aired tonight. I read the Weibert family is in it. There is bragging of a "secret map", making me feel skeptical about it (also due to lack of quality in many other HC shows). But I will give it a chance. Has anyone seen this?
All the best, Noggy

Let me know if it is Henry Weibert's daughter and if so I may know something about it.

Here's a link to what the "documentary" is all about. www.history.co.uk/article/is-custers-lost-treasure-still-out-thereI'm not a fan of The History Channel. Why would the command take that much cash with them is beyond me, let alone pounds of gold & silver? Another hoax just like the many others about this battle. Still believe Frank Finkle was the last survivor?

It is?? Yuk. Then that part must be coming up. The first episode revolved around trying to find the spot Lone Tipi stood, and the "main plot" is to find one or more caches (right word?) with wepons and other things taken from soldiers after the battle, supposedly hidden away in the area. Any "treasure" was not mentioned, but I`m out if so. All the best, Noggy

The treasure issues are very real and will continue but unfortunately, humanity and our entertainers are unscrupulous in the nth degree. Here's an example. Another and saving my poor little tapping paws, a Google which helps to create several questions for every answer about treasure at Little Bighorn. There were treasures and for example Two Moon's treasure was stolen from his grave marker once media news became aware of it. Soldier's had paper money with them after being paid and the children played with it on the battlefield after the killing ended. There were weapons stashed away for the final uprising and in the interests of the tribes. I believe that some believe that Crazy Horse had his mother's second cousins twin sisters bury the weapons and ammunition captured at Rosebud, in the Little Bighorn valley somewhere near the headwaters of the Rosebud. The Captain of the Far West had a hoard of gold coins buried near the wreck of the General Sherman when its crewand passengers were rescued. The Nelly Peck may have carried diamonds and rubies which were won in the famous poker game between Two Beers and Don Cameron at Fort Pease. Bob Reece discovered a cartridge from Custer's Remington hunting rifle on Greasy Grass Hill. Bob Reece find

And as of so far, no treasure apart from looking for battlefield artifacts. It might change, though. Scott was on it too, which was nice since I`ve never seen him "in real life", Ernie Lapointe too. Plus Weibert`s daughter. So I`ll give the next episode a chance to. if nothing else, for a guy who`s yet to visit the place it`s nice to see a lot of the area also outside the battlefield itself.
