Hi
In "They Died With Custer," the youngest member of the 7th is said to have been 15 years old at the time of battle. I know that the youngest US KIA was most likely Willis Wright, who died age 17, but who was this 15 year old? Was he at LBH, or stationed somewhere else?
Appreciate any help, as always.

Great link, should have found that one myself. The closest here is a Peter Eixenbereger who was born 12th June 1860. He enlisted in November 1875 and belonged to the band, but would have been 16 at the time of battle by a couple of days. he would have been 15 when enlisting, however. But Scott claims clearly that the birth date makes this soldier 15 years old. Usually I`d think it came down to contradicting birth dates, since Eixenberger was born in Germany and there might be something there. But Scott also, at least that`s how I read his chart, has also just one soldier aged 16 at the time of battle. This would be Eixenbereger, I guess, as there in the list you provided are nobody else born 1860. Eixenbereger can`t be both the 15 yo and the 16 yo.
I know this is a silly detail but it has left me curios. Anyone got Scott`s home number??
