This board has died out. It has become a Pearl Harbor board.
I no longer plan to check in here.
I have had many great conversations, and met many great people.
Good bye, and good luck.
William

I agree . . . there must be a forum website for Pearl Harbor . . . this Forum's Title is "Little Bighorn History Alliance"
I use to be a regular contributor here, almost daily in fact, and got to know a number of posters via this forum. We had some lively debates and I also learned a lot more from people who really did their research.
I guess we have run out of theories and/or lost interest (for now)
Hopefully this forum can return to it's former glory.

Gentlemen I am saddened that y'all feel that you need to leave the board because of one thread. Perhaps if one of you would bring up new topics or post on an existing thread you would not feel the need to leave. Both of you are highly knowledgeable and well educated men who could offer many new ideas and thoughts.
Montrose, you in particular are so well versed on various forms of warfare that are non conventional that you could share many of the mistakes Custer made fighting an enemy who did not fight in a conventional manner. I have read so many of your posts that were so enlightening for a civilian such as myself.
Horse you are a valued member of this board who has made many contributions and has so much more to offer. I appeal to both of you to rethink your positions and stay the course with us.
Jodak is not at fault for a thread that is highly read and enjoyed by many. Pearl Harbor is an offshoot of American warfare and has its own niche in history and this board. He is not at fault for others not contributing or us "becoming a "Pearl Harbor board." Regards Dave

Never meant to say that I would not check in every now and then, which I am still doing. For the life of me I can't come up with anything new to offer. I'm not into the tactical part of the battle, more of the cultural, personal and inter-action between people which in the end caused the outcome of the battle and/or the demise of the Native American way of life.
I admire peope like Fred and others, who devoted so much time to research to come up with parts of the battle not often discussed.
Now that winter is approaching here in the northeast I'll have more time to sit in front of a computer and hopefully come up with a different slant or topic to get the board humming again.
