How did you figure you are a descendant?
The only definitive way to proof your ancestry is with a DNA test.
If there are any known Custer relatives available you need to contact them and you and they need to take a DNA test.

Anyone interested in determining if they are related to General Custer usually can find out pretty easily on ancestry.com if you know your grandparents and they have passed. Feel free to reply back if you need help.

My great grandmother's name was Custer. The family pronounces it Kooster. She lived in Portage Pa. The family has reunions every year in Pa. My relatives have done some research and believe we are related.

Just came across this and it’s several years old but I will share. I am General Custer’s 1st cousin 4x’s removed. His father Emanuel Custer was my 3rd great grandmother’s brother. His grandparents John Fedele Custer and Catherine (Valentine) Custer were my 4th great grandparents.

Didn't Custer have like 12 siblings/half-siblings? Safe to say the bloodline did not end at LBH Noggy
