As always, I would be very interested in your opinions and observations.
Enjoy your trip... but please, try to look up Mike Donahue. He is an absolute hoot and in my opinion, one of the eight most knowledgable people, alive today, about the Little Big Horn. And as nice a person as you will ever meet.

As for `into the valley` etc I wonder if there is a Crimea thread/forum somewhere, that would be interesting. Regards Joe The following picture site has a nice group of photos of the Crimean War. That's a great website, the war was well photographed and reputed to be one of the first with its very own war correspondent, the Irishman William Howard Russell writing for the Times.
Some of the photos are available in book form but great to be able to scroll through them, a great find, thank you.
