Carl you are on the money, I enjoy reading about small units from battalion down (well sometimes I will go as high as regimental size), battalions are like mini corps to me, and they can contain (depending on the country of course) a company or platoon who were dedicated in a certain role, these were AT, AA, heavy MGs, mortars and even light artillery. So they have something in their bag for all eventualities.
Chuck, when I was searching for data on the FECOM boys, most of the stuff I came across was about policing and security, at first I thought you were leading me down the garden path and they were similar to the phantom group used in WW2.
