Yes Richard thats why I believed the story by this Chaplain, That and the fact that he was a Chaplain. I saw no reason for him to fabricate a story, it made no sense to me. Just the fact that they were told to stand down but went anyway and gave their lives, is more than enough to honor them as valiant men.

But as it turned out this Chaplain didnt even write the story he copied it from someone else. The someone else he copied it from when asked, had no source for his story.

The Jessica Lynch affair was significantly different from this instance in sourcing. This Benghazi rumor, distortion, BS, whatever we call it, was motivated by God only knows what; pick from a range of "because I can" to "influence the 2014 elections" to "the Devil made me do it". It comes out of the ether without provenance and it sticks to whatever it may or it don't. The nonsense about Lynch was sourced within and widely distributed by mainstream media relying on leaks and unnamed sources; "I knew a guy who heard it from a guy, now this ain't no sh*t and it's the straight skinny." The motivation was, in my opinion, ratings and preservation of the next paycheck. Just plain old hard-nosed honest journalism.

Strange how inflation of Indian casualties at the LBH never gained traction.
What's the number 40 at best? 212 troopers firing into massed Indians could only hit 40?If ever inflation was required it surely must be the LBH.

Not strange because it isn't true. The newspapers claimed all sorts of figures for Indian dead. Wasn't true.
