Turtle: How about a brief synopsis of your book and why we should buy it? Maybe entice us with some here-to-fore unknown facts that you are going to develop? Name and publisher? Your brief announcement doesn't cut it. The book section on this board is just for such discussions.
If you understand the publishing business a little, then you will know that publishers want their authors to get out and spread the word about their book and establish interest so they can pre-determine the demand which helps them decide whether or not to publish your book, the quantity, price, and so on.
When the pony express delayed the arrival of Fred's soon to be called First Book, I read on a Sat. morning all the information his publisher provides to authors and authors-to-be on how to put their book together in manuscript form and on to finished product and thereafter including how to foot/end note, promote, and so on. Obviously there is a lot of work involved and particularly after you approach the publisher. I've been thinking about a book or two myself (not on the LBH) and reading all those articles on the website helped to enlighten me on the process.
