Okay. 100%, then. I can only suppose the 30 pages of lavish praise were in fine, fine, print then, so fine that enlarged to 12 pt. Times New Roman single space it would still require a ream to print out. My ego could take no less.

Your agent is an "it"? You may be up too high; what's the altitude? And I use 12-point Cambria. It has a nice, soft flow to it. I am switching all my documents from Times to Cambria. Besides, Cambria takes up a little more space making the page count more impressive.
You won't be disappointed... in the praise.
Best wishes, Fred.

I, of course, live solely for praise.
But I live OFF of the blood sacrifice that must accompany it. Tired of armadillo and tarantula, fyi. Just saying. Swordfish and mercury season approaches.
Its name is It. Ari Emanuel assumes the fetal position and quivers when they talk on the phone. Hell is upon you. Verily. In short, MY photo on the cover - full color, retouched to accentuate my beauty, and in 3d - and it must be larger than yours in monochromatic crayon on the back. Pick up in late model Bentley limo with full bar. All M&M's must be Chiantic Green embossed with the code of the Templars in GaGa yellow. It will follow up details by late night armed break in or incidental car jacking.

Well, you've earned a modicum of it on this trip.
Late-model Bentleys are entirely too neuveau, however; too Westchester... smacks of a Jeep Cherokee with gold trim. Besides, Bentleys are mere VWs in drag. A vintage Rolls Top Hat is more my style... and we should be able to get that done. 'Fraid I cannot do maroon and taupe; yellow and black are much easier. Hang around, DC; we'll get those shoes polished.
I have a friend in Wisconsin... will sockeye do?
We can also do the photo. How 'bout if I PhotoShop it with Sitting Bull or a make-believe Crazy Horse? My granddaughters are great at that kind of stuff and if you are real nice to me over the next week I'll swoon you with a picture of the eldest. Helen of Troy, eat your heart out, sweetheart! We'll let your photo stand alone; I'm too ugly and too shy to put in one taken when I wore the green... or OD. 3-D is out, however; entirely too trendy and you know what Givenchy said about trends... or was that Beaudelaire?
And Dark Cloud, I think you have been out West too long. M&Ms are no longer de rigueur. Belgian and Swiss chocolates... truffles... forget the GaGa yellow, we'll swath them in gold. And Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin for the bar. We'll get the "Vintage Reserve." Johnny Walker, Black only; the other stuff is too pretentious and single malts are overrated. Plenty of cubes; brings out the flavor if you let it sit for about 90 seconds. Tuxes are mandatory... with medals. If you have none, I'll lend you some of mine; you pick the color, as long as they match your eyes.
I'll sit behind you at the book signing, but you have to pick the venue. High ceilings, lotsa light.
Best wishes, Fred.

There is no 'we' in "I", "Me", or "gimme." You've violated the agreement by trying to gain some measure of benefit from merely having written the book, whatever it is. Sadly, I must turn this over to my agent, who will not like it.
Medals. So gauche. I only need my Nimbus, and that only for bowling alley or better events. Elegant.

Yoicks! Not Lawyer Dagget again!
I'll leave the medals home, but you'll have to do the same thing with the Nimbus. Besides, it is liable to crack in the chilled Alpine air and we do not want too much revealed. Bowling alley?! I expected better. Do you have your own shoes? Say it isn't so, Joe!
Alas, will your name, preceding mine, suffice? Alphabetical and all that.... I can arrange it...?
Best wishes, Chagrinned.

Just checked the Amazon site. They list an April 26, 2011 release date. Guess I'll keep the tent on standby.
I see it is now ranked # 2,597,401 on their best seller list. It can only go up considering the 2,597,400 lesser books ahead of it.
I see also that Amazon has a place for authors to include their bio and a place for a mug shot. McFarland's bio would be a good fit for a start. They also have a discussion forum for the book.

Fred, Please email me at joe.schulte@insightbb.com. I would like to discuss my relative that was with the 7th for nearly 3 years and resigned shortly before the LBH and if you had ever come accross information on him. thanks, Joe

Thank you, Karl.
It looks like end of May, beginning of June. Not half bad if I do say so myself. Elegantly done by McFarland. Nice company; very professional.
Best wishes, Fred.

I have just finished reading 'Participants in the Battle of the Little Big Horn' from cover to cover, which I freely admit is somewhat unusual for a book of this nature. It gives me no pleasure to say I was most disappointed to find that in virtually every aspect it falls well short of the standards one would normally expect of a volume of this price and subject matter. A great pity and a golden opportunity missed.

I can't say whether you're right or wrong. Because I haven't read it. I know Fred personally as do some of the others here, and he's done an awful lot of research and work on it. I think he deserves a better explanation of why you don't like it than the few words you have given. I can understand the cost, but that was something determined most likely by the publisher. And if the cost was your concern, why not just wait for it to hit the shelves of your local library?

Fred annoyed a group of User ID's in the past - they could well be one person - and here's another one who might just be a manifestation of the same few. Please note that the guy claims to have read it cover to cover and still cannot provide a shred of evidence he's seen it, much less read it.
I, on the other hand, review books I have not read, but they're more specific than this. And accurate. I have not read Fred's book, and probably won't, which is not a review but a statement of time and interest.
This is why multiple user ID's by the same people annoy; it allows grown men to act like 12 year old girls on the school bus trying to get attention from upperclassmen. This sort of thing is little more elevated than Facebook dissing in anonymity and should be accorded the regard due such.
