Richard Missed you and your on target comments! Trust you will have more time on your hands to jump in and drift alongside us down the LBH River on an inner tube with a floating ice chest full of cold brews. Regards Dave

Hi Richard, Damn glad to see you are OK. As you can see there were a lot of people concerned about you. I think one of your last posts was your outstanding Eulogy to Dark Cloud (RIP) I am glad to see you are not having a conversation with him Welcome back my old friend. Be Well Always Dan

Has anyone traveled next door recently? I have not viewed that site in weeks I think, being so damn busy. I just took a break and thought I would wander over... and there is some new fellow going by the name, "saintpatrick33." It seems he joined on August 9 and already has 72 posts... 72 in one week; he seems like an avid learner. WOW!!!
I guess he needs to be here, too, since things seem pretty dead over there... 72 posts in a week!!! Yikes!!!!
Best wishes, Fred.

The newcomer and HR have this whole conversation going but "keogh" is barely responding to or interacting with them unless directly addressed. Hasn't stopped the flood of gold font on his 'interpretive comments'. As always love Steve's counterbalancing the lunacy with sound replies back. Has keogh had a new idea in the past 3 years? I don't think so albeit he has dropped the cavalry mindset nonsense for now. Best, David I stopped reading St Paddy's comments as he seems to be locked into the blame Reno and Benteen mindset.

Well, if St. P and HR are having a private conversation and they both blame/hate Benteen and Reno then it sounds like a Ryan Fitz Patrick/Patrick Fitz Ryan moment. Probably sharing other private moments on PM's as well.

I stopped reading St Paddy's comments as he seems to be locked into the blame Reno and Benteen mindset. David, I read a few of his posts: he professes to be a "new guy," a "learner." All such enter the picture with that mindset. I am curious to see how he develops. Best wishes, Fred.

It is rather difficult to learn if you continually post your thoughts, dreams, favorite movies and actors instead of reading books, articles, intelligent posts and studying about the actions of the participants of the battle itself. If you consider the moderator as a valuable source of knowledge and seek his insights and opinions perhaps you might need to seek additional resources? This board has published authors, scholars and individuals who have spent many days, months and years on the actual field itself and are extremely familiar with the terrain so this is a fruitful area for study for all who wish to increase their knowledge.
St. Pat appears to be a very curious individual who has many preconceived notions regarding the battle and the actions of Custer, Reno, Benteen and many others. You have to clear some room in any storage area to increase your knowledge. Romantic visions via Hollywood of the Little Big Horn certainly need to be thrown out and new sources sought that do not have personal views based on their own bias. Scholarship is a required tool to develop intelligent views of any subject especially one as complex as the Battle of the Little Big Horn. Perhaps he will post less and study more? Regards Dave

No Dave, you need to seek professional help and maybe institutionalized. All that he owns and knows revolve around mommy's basement and the back of a van.

Regards Dave A bit os a shame. Keogh is well read on the topic of LBH but is so agenda driven that it is tendered nearly useless. The fact that he does not interact with this new Custer-Disciple has my wyebrows raised. Evidently HR can't help himself and is back to posting nonsense, duly noted and commented on by St Paddy.

Fred, do you feel like taking on a rescue mission? Rhetorical or not, the answer is the same. NO! I am out of that business. Best wishes, Fred.
