Just to give you a short review of the few minutes I heard tonight of the History Channel's The Story of Us, Custer and his entire 700 man regiment were killed. So shut up. It's the History Channel. After that, the gooey Big Book Of Indian Romance section assured us that they used everything and didn't waste, and Sheryl Crow - my left foot is spastic now, and I'm flinching unceasingly - felt that our treatment of the Indian was bad and should be.......what was it? Revisited? Revised? What did she say? Why? If I'm sober tomorrow I'm writing a firm letter of displeasure to the plantlife at the History Channel. So then, why be sober? I want home addresses and their routes to work. If they work. Can they read? THE HISTORY CHANNEL? I'm not waiting for the credits to see which famed historian contributed to this. Because I just know..... If it's tolerated, it will continue.

Oh, don't get me started.
In the mid-90s, my husband Chuck was in an A&E show about LBH with Doug Scott and (I think) Paul Hutton. The show was based on Nightengale's book, and the staff went in with preconceived ideas of what they wanted said. Chuck and Doug didn't support Nightengale's theory, so they each got about 2.2 minutes on the show.
Unfortunately, the vast American public thinks watching the History Channel or A&E history specials is comparable to research. If they stay at a Holiday Inn Express overnight and watch a History Channel show, they are instant experts.
