hau i'm posting since yesterday and forgot the introduction post sorry! I joined your club and that of the american indian section from diane after reading hours and hours of your very interesting posts, you guys owe me some sleep! I don't pretend to be an Custer or LBH expert, just a global passionated lover of the 'wild' west and indian history ever since that portuguese guy landed at the wrong island, bit more focused on the plains tribes ever since I was a little boy (not very original ;D), culminating on that very special day in June 1876. As long as it hold a bow arrows rides a nice spotted horse and shoots into those bluecoats I'm there dudes . I never thought there would be a billboard with interesting threads on these subjects with as what I red sofar better balanced views as that on youtube (yes i got called liar also!). Anyway thank you for the inside information and hope to contribute in a very modest way. from france a dutch guy

Bonjour your ownself, wolfgang911, et willkommen zum diesen boarden.
If you don't pretend to be an expert, you will be in the minority - most of us pretend to be experts on something or other. Some pretend to be experts on just about everything - sort of like the Engineer's Theory where one becomes more and more learned about fewer and fewer topics, until one knows everything about nothing, and sits in the corner bemoaning fate and other things too numerous to mention. Or like Professor Irwin Corey, who was The World's Greatest Expert. With Wikipedia and notification software, you too can respond like an expert to virtually any question, so long as you don't have to put up any sources, or answer any followups.
A Dutch guy in France?!?!? Quelle domage!! What, pray tell, went wrong?
Your new friend,
Gordie
PS Ask me anything - I'll make something up...................

thanks biggordie don't worry 'll be asking pretty soon! It can also be the other way around : the more you know about the most tiny almost invisible details you also end up knowing everything about nothing ;D but who cares that's what we are all doing here in a way with passion I thougth I was at least somewhat of a local NDN expert when I was still with the books I had, & before I started googling a year ago and saw that almost everything was on line, not only wikipidea but any journal from the 1870 on, countless pictures or witness accounts : so much information it is depressing!! just found about the site with the 100 NDN eyewitness accounts of CLS.. bouh I spare you how I worked my way down to France, I'm now trying to work my way up to Wyoming!
