Any ideas as to the best place at LBH to not get caught spreading ashes of a great man? I was also thinking of doing the horse trek... there is far too much information on here for me to go thru in such a short timr, so if anyone would like to help out a girl from Canada with no clue, it would be greatly appreciated... (There's safety in numbers, they say). I respect what you are doing, and hope that you'll be able to make it, but we sure want you to be safe! Actually one of my girlfriends is coming with me, my husband refused to let me go alone... she also happens to be a professional photog, so I should have some pretty sweet pictures to send after the fact.... we are going this week to a friends place to ride horses so we get the hang of it again... Dad put me in jumping and drasage when i was younger, so i know my way around a horse, i hope...

How nice to know it now. I was hoping there would be some pictures. How I'd love to be there, but I was targeting the big 2010 trip and not budgeting to go this year. Now this year seems far more important. He regreted he wouldn't be able to ride the battlefield with me. I know it will please him if you do and how I would love to be there riding with you. One of your dad's favorite spots was Sharp Shooter's Ridge and the other highground nearby. I have the GPS coordinates of some of his other favorite spots too. Let me see what I can hunt up and I'll email you. |

Thought I'd posted something here a couple months ago, but I guess not. Just like last year I'm going to be at LBH over anniversary weekend. The plan is to arrive early evening on Thursday and head home at the crack of dawn on Sunday to get back to work at the salt mines..er..um ..the mushroom farm.
If anyone who is around that weekend wants fresh white or small size portabella mushrooms, post here or send me a pm. We can also do the deluxe 20 minute tour of the farm if someone is passing near Helena on their way to or from the battlefield.
