A certain website ("the most powerful voice in Custeriana") is featuring this gem:
"A 10-minute historical documentary on Yellowstone National Park, where Custer fought Sitting Bull and Crazy Horse in 1873 and won two battles"
Missed it by *that* much...

Well, they got the Yellowstone part right, although it was closer to Kansas City, as I recall. "The most powerful voice in Custeriana," I would hazard a guess, comes to us via Switzerland, and this "historical documentary" would be typical of the level of research of the "resident expert" on that site.
I'm not even sure that the geography is the only question mark. Does anyone know if Sitting Bull and/or Crazy Horse were at either event?

I'm not even sure that the geography is the only question mark. Does anyone know if Sitting Bull and/or Crazy Horse were at either event? John Lubetkin puts Sitting Bull in the vicinity, but he is uncertain about Crazy Horse's participation: "The next morning a score of Hunkpapas, Miniconjou, and Northern Cheyenne (the main elements of Sitting Bull's village) and perhaps [emphasis in the original] Crazy Horse went downstream, looking for Stanley." In a footnote, he explains: "Nobody will ever know if Crazy Horse participated. Some writers, with more hope than research have written him into the story, and given the small number of Oglalas, it is highly doubtful that he led the ensuing attack." cefil
