Ian As neither Custer's nor Keogh's positions indicate a creditable defence it follows that neither one nor the other had time, coming under simultaneous attack and so went down at the same time.

Thanks Wild, it must have been such a confusion after Calhoun's skirmish line collapsed, that must have been why there were so few man from Keogh's wing, who made to were Custer was retreating. You hear stories about Troopers being found in a string like line were they have been cut down by Indians whilst trying to contact friendly units to regroup. Regards Ian.

According to my handy, dandy map, it's about the highest on the area surrounding the visitor's center (about 3300 feet), but there are areas around the Reno/Benteen position that are higher (3400 feet). Weir Point is also higher (3400 ish)
