Maybe this can be considered a continual of "Broken Sword's nut house" in regard to the fact that I'm getting right back into the idea of serious vs. looney researchers and our constant impressions experiences through our years of digging into the great magnificence of history, but all the more I still wonder ( and maybe this is just me, maybe this is an extra silly question)...............
Are we getting smarter, or dumber, as we read and dig more and more?
I personally feel that there should be no stone un-turned, but, as a younger fella myself, I'm definitely feeling rather dazed and confused at having read so much over the years, and at times it can be just a bit on the overwhelming side. But then again, I'm just a muscle head.

It's called The Engineer's Theory.
A Generalist knows a little bit about a lot of things. A Specialist knows a lot about a limited number of things. As he narrows his field of study, and continues to research and learn, the Specialist adds to his store of knowledge, knowing more and more about less and less, until eventually he becomes an Expert, knowing everything about nothing.
It is also known as the Law of Diminishing Synapses, but only among Experts.

when State of Florida stopped issuing Clinical Lab Generalist's licenses, we ended up with too many Experts. I am a Generalist in 3 fields, specialist in 2. Now I am confused - does that mean I know nothing about something and a lot about little?

As I recall from our former exposure to one another, I would think that you are an exception to the rules - but then I'm an Expert....................

I'm not quite sure where that puts you, alfuso, but I've always loved your signature motto! I think that alone should make you an expert in the field of life.

Deny Everything I got from KITT. Who said it to Michael Knight in the pilot when they got pulled over by cops.
Prepare to Panic I got from Richard Pryor about 40 years ago when he first appeared on the Ed Sullivan show doing clean comedy.
Fly Casual is from 2nd Star Wars movie.
I used to wear a badge that said Deny Everything. Sci Fi writer Larry Niven liked it so much, he traded his name badge for it!
