I truly cannot believe the unbeliveable ignorance displayed by some govt. officials! This all sounds like some kind of urban legend.

Turns out I was right--the contracters are charging for each site they unblock. They must be friends of somebody.
Not to make political statements or anything, but it's starting to blow me away how much this time in our history resembles the Gilded Age that our heroes lived through. But of course the comforting thought is that everything goes in cycles...
