I was lucky to have great history teachers in high school and college. Here's an excerpt of a story about a middle school teacher who found an innovative way to get his students interested in American history. We need more teachers like him! The Teddy Bear U.S. Tour 2005-2006
A set of four teddy bears, each outfitted with a backpack, postcards and a mission sheet, set out last December on a four-month tour.
Their mission: To travel the United States and share their experiences and findings with Brian Hurd’s seventh and eighth grade American History and Geography students at Mary of Lourdes Middle School (MOLMS) in Little Falls.
