Hi everyone. This group looks like a fine bunch of history enthusiasts. I'm new here, I just discovered this site the day before yesterday. I can't wait to "dive in!" Is the water warm?

Wyman:
Sometimes yes; sometimes no. Welcome to the club; but if you're looking for fine people, you missed the turn. Hang a U-ey, go back about forty miles and make a hard left.

Welcome, wyman --
The 'waters' here can run from hot as blazes to downright cold. Jump right in regardless of that. One more poster splashing about couldn't make the water any more muddy and cloudy than it already is. A small few here have their eyes closed anyway, but almost all are trying to see through it and generally are trying (through their own personal styles) to help others 'see' more clearly.

I think I may know you. Think Billings in 2004 and some Kentucky Fried Chicken and Peter Thompson ... I had a husband in tow that night.
Welcome aboard and join the festivities. --t.

Well, I'm thinking... Hmmm, yeah I'm sure I was in Billings in 2004, but I don't even know where a KFC is there. And, I don't know Peter Thompson. I know Putt Thompson though. He has the Battlefield Trading Post across the hwy. from Custer battlefield. Not the same person? I am wondering how you think you know me?

When you mentioned Ranchester, I was gonna ask which way from there you were located, I was guessing either Sheridan or Lodge Grass. The Sheridan - Buffalo - Ten Sleep area is one of my favorite places.
I see that you have now changed to WY Man. I didn't get that connection before. Perhaps your avatar will assist Tricia in remembering.

Nope--you're not the wyman I was considering. There is a Michael Wyman who lives in Texas and specialises in Peter Thompson .... never mind. WY man makes me assume you're a Wyoming-bred fellow.

Well, actually, I was born and bred in Texas, Amarillo to be specific. My middle name is Wyman, and I live in Sheridan, Wyoming now, so I use Wy Man on some boards that I belong to.

Hi Wy Man,
Welcome aboard. If you're looking for personalities, you'll find all you need here and then some, if you're looking for information you can fill your filing cabinet, but if you're looking to do battle, get your helmet on, and go for it! Someone along the line will accomodate you.
I'm one of those who just wants to learn all I can and keep a low profile, because I'm no fighter or debater. But I think there is enough room for all here, and they do play fair!
Look forward to hearing your take on the battle! Montana born & bred

Welcome to the boards, WyMan. You and I know each other from FLICKR. I'm a fellow Texan, born and raised, but Californian most of my life. To those of you out there, WyMan has taken hundreds, maybe even thousands of fantastic pictures of Montana, Wyoming and Texas. See you later.

Hi Frank! So nice of you to comment. I have a little bit of everything over on Flickr. My Flickr name is "WY Man" also. By the way, Frank, you have some great stuff on Flickr too. Lots of good Little Bighorn photos. Frank's Flickr name is Caltexian. www.flickr.com/photos/wwwflickrcomphotoscaltexian/(Search Caltexian for "Fox" to access his Little Bighorn photos.)

WY man,
Small world. Spend any time in the military, or just like local military history?

WY Man and Bubbabod, I always love to see photos! I am not so familiar with Flickr, so WY Man, how does one find your Little Bighorn stuff?
I'm up on Webshots. But I haven't posted much the past couple years. I just got a cheap ($10) digital photo resizer program, so hope to easily put some shots up (ummm... a LOT of shots up!)
I've got LBH stuff from the anniversary event in 2006, including both re-inactments. Also, I have stuff from Warbonnet in NW Nebraska, the Slim Buttes in NW SD and from Fort Laramie... to name a few.
anyhoo... looking foward to seeing more of you guys' stuff! Thanks!

Liz, here is the link to Wy Man's Flickr site: www.flickr.com/photos/63339942@N00/and here is his Little Big Horn set www.flickr.com/photos/63339942@N00/sets/72157607505170745/Once you get to the member's site, just go to the Search function and enter Little Big Horn. I haven't done that for all of Flickr yet but it might be interesting. Resizing photos? If they already are in a digital format, you should be able to use Windows Photoviewer (I think that is the name) to resize them. Be good and welcome aboard! Billy
