Did I miss that post?
I'm not really tired of O Strange One. I guess considering what we dealt with with our Swiss Friends this guy is much easier to take (I must be getting soft in my "old" age)
I say give him a little more rope . . . if most feel he's gone to far pull the lever on the trap door. But as I've said many times I really don't like suppression of thought even when it is not "approved" off by others.
Time for a double Ouzo to get through more of Our Strange One's posts (Didn't the Sioux call Crazy Horse that?)

Once again, my hats off to you 'Horse! I must send my sincerest regards for the graciousness of this one. I would have expected him to really let me have it after what I said of the Real Crazy Horse a while back. But luckily, thanks to the amazing circulation of knowledge (which is what these boards are to be meant for) he set me straight and I've revived a fascination with the Indians that Custer fought (though I still won't suggest they're all cupcakes).
'Horse rules! I'll always say it, and I hope you never misquote me into thinking I don't like your stuff. ( in Grant's Playbook, I mentioned "attackers", and I was by no means speaking of you, once again I'd have to bash my very own head in if I ever went against the Grande Master.)
- Once again in regard to my REAL attackers , I'm STILL trying to lay off. But the ones against me keep getting personal. I keep saying DON'T DIG ME UP, I'm trying to lay off and I've made every attempt to pull away and even exile myself, what am I to do when people keep coming at me? So I definitely got personal in one thread where I called Abby Grace an "old hag" and then started talking about the dead to weaken everyone's stomach's with my morbid history perspective. THAT is the only time I got personal.
I guess you ALL want me to stick around..........................so I'll stay around since everyone keeps digging me up. I think I'll have to smother my real attackers with "hugs and kisses" until you'll all beg me to get morbid.

No, Crazy, you didn't miss anything on the boards. The September LBHA Newsletter has a full-page message from the chairman, most of which is blasting me by name and others on the boards anonymously. Anyone coming to my defense can expect to receive the nastiest e-mail of your life.
His message was filled with half-truths and "untruths" (I'm being kind) but three things that need to be said in case others have the same wrong impressions.
(1) I am not a moderator for the boards. I am the administrator. There is a big difference. A moderator is supposed to be unbiased and let both sides of an issue have equal time, such as in a debate. As the administrator, I control the boards and I express my opinions.
(2) The chairman complained that I didn't consult the board of directors before moving the website to a different domain. From my point of view, they should have contacted me prior to the conference to tell me they thought there was a problem. My action of moving the boards off of the LBHA.org address was to eliminate what they voiced as their main concern, Internet liability.
(3) He claimed that LBHA members dropped their membership because of the boards. I'd love to know who because I don't believe it for a minute. As I reported previously, one gentleman threatened to drop his membership but, after I assured him that CSS was gone, he told me that he reconsidered and was going to renew. If LBHA dropped everything that got one person mad, they wouldn't have anyone left. There is a long list of people -- living and dead -- who stopped attending LBHA conferences because of the Good Old Boys.
There's much more that could be said, but I want to end this on a pleasant note. After all of the nastiness I've endured during the years I volunteered as the Newsletter Editor and Webmaster, it's been worth it because so many LBHA members are good people and have been nothing but kind to me. I treasure those who have at least been fair to me. I've never claimed to be perfect and I've made some mistakes along the way, but I've also made some very good friends.
AND after all of the insults in the Newsletter, they still have me listed as the LBHA Webmaster! How funny is that? The old LBHA.org website is getting a lot of new traffic, which is being directed here, so I have the last laugh.

I have no idea of any "newsletter", and you should know I didn't send any hate mail, nor will I ever. YOU guys are getting on ME, you've read MY words, you've read THEIR words, do you seriously think I've conducted myself in any way un-befitting of a gentleman? I wish I had not deleted my post. It should have stood there firm for all eyes that were getting at me. To this day I'm still looking forward to hearing the opinions of EVEN the people who hate me, because the people who hate me are also very fascinating to hear and I ACTUALLY respect their thoughts. But then the rest of you got this grudge on me and you are all continuously inviting me to a bickering contest and when I reluctantly join in you guys damn me for fighting back . What gives? -Diane, To PROVE my existence once and for all, I'm sending you a personal email from my real address to show you just as I am. And just to be nice, I'll attach some pictures of one of my monster's just to confirm my job and give you some real nice art to cherish.

Hang on there Trish, I haven't got my copy yet, but from what Diane has revealed of the content of the Chairman's 'message', I look forward to receiving my nasty email. Diane, you or the BOD? No contest, they ain't in your class Huntress.

Oh, Strange . . . .
Now don't accuse me of inducing you to come back simply because I am answering something you said.
My previous note had nothing to do with you. I was answering Crazy's question. It just happens to be in the middle of a thread you started -- that's all.
I think you may be thinking everyone is referring to you when they say things. It's not all about you, OK? I don't believe I've mentioned you or replied to you (other than this) all day. I'm giving you the rest you requested.
Repeat after me: "It's not all about me. It's not all about me. It's not all about me. . . ."

I send my apologies if thats the case, but i can't help but be flattered that followers of the Strange One have such a bond if thats once again the case.

No contest, they ain't in your class Huntress. Hunk Just wait, Hunk ... our Chairman went on a tirade. I felt as if the regular contributors to this forum had been brought to the principal's office and paddled! It was something entirely inappropriate in nature, and his one- page message didn't even mention the three resignations tendered at the LBHA Conference. If anything, those actions affected LBHA policy in a more significant manner than anything that has occured on these boards, yet nothing was said as to the reasons why these gentlemen chose to leave the BOD. I sense from all of this Mr. Blake is reluctant to engage in a fully transparent and open process of leadership--both financial and political--the kind of thing a 501c (3) organisation demands and necessitates. Fortunately, I've cooled down since I my first perusal of the Chairman's Message! But in addtion to the tone set at the banquet by Mr. Blake, this most recent matter has left a terrible taste in my mouth. --t.

Strange, again I'm not inducing you to stay on the boards . . . . I'm just answering your question.
No one is sending me hate messages. A gentleman who defended me to the LBHA Board of Directors has received hate mail.
Hunk, you will receive multiple hugs the next time we meet!

Trish, I have made my views towards the BOD plain on the 'Please Diane' thread. If Mr. Blake wants a fight he'll get one and I am sure that Fred will endorse that sentiment. I believe that the Constitiution, however archaic, nevertheless contains the necessary basis on which challenges can be made. If so, we should make those challenges. Goddess, I'm checking flight times as the promise of a hug-fix is too good to miss! So beware, Hurricane Hunk is on the way.

Diane, I just got my copy of the Newsletter today. His account of the message-boards affair is almost comically slanted -- e.g. the use of the word "informant". No doubt intended to imply skulduggery on your part, but in fact underlining their lack of courtesy in failing to inform you themselves ...
Then we get to the 501(c)(3) stuff. Obviously, I don't know U.S. law on these matters. But the way I read it, it seems he's saying that because the organisation was well and prudently run by the previous regime in the four preceding tax years, he can do what he likes in the current one! Shaky logic at best, I'd have thought. (And now I suppose I can look forward to a hate e-mail of my very own ...)
Anyone intrigued to learn (on p. 5) that it was "Little Phil" who ordered the burning of the Pawnee Fork village? By the time I got to that point, I was almost ready to cancel my subscription. But then I read the Dale Kosman piece, which is really, really useful, and had to relent.
Pleased that they gave Lubetkin the John Carroll Award. Terrific book.

But then I read the Dale Kosman piece, which is really, really useful, and had to relent. Pleased that they gave Lubetkin the John Carroll Award. Terrific book. I had received my issue Wednesday and after reading the rant I laid it down, muttering to myself, "What a stupid a**hole." Elisabeth, the word "informant" jumped out at me also and made me wonder what kind of rinky-dink organization LBHA had become when the BOD don't have collective testicles enough to discuss the issue and inform the webmaster of the result. As far as Strange, well, my opinion is that he is just a tad bit off-kilter in his obsessions (and I am being extremely generous.) Boot him so that we can go back to semi-serious conversations without being subjected to threats. GAC and Trish, I don't think the entire BOD has enough creativity to come up with the idea of Strange, assuming they were one of your suspects. And boy, threats don't work in an on-line environment. However, if you wish to pay me a visit, please do. Billy
