A friend of mine, originally from Sheridan, WY, sent me a link to the local American Legion's Drum and Bugle corps' activities. Note that there is a rodeo on July 15. The outlet's theme is, not surprisingly, "Garry Owen." Growing up, the Seventh's theme song was burned into his brain. There are also links to Custer and LBH sites.

Sheridan area high spots:
Buffalo Bill used to audition acts for his Wild West show at its landmark Sheridan Inn, now 114 years old. The Bozeman Trail, a supply route for 1860s gold miners in Montana, ran along the eastern edge of the Big Horns. The Little Bighorn battle, where George Armstrong Custer died along with all his men, was fought to the north on the Crow Indian reservation.
