Here are excerpts from an article about the Civil War Trails Discovery Weekend [emphasis added]. It sounds like a great event. The Civil War Trails Discovery Weekend set Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 3, 4 and 5, offers a chance to learn about the Civil War while discovering the charm and character of five of Franklin County's communities - with Chambersburg's annual Ice Festival as a beautiful backdrop, according to Mary Beth Hockenberry, executive director of the Greater Waynesboro Chamber of Commerce.
One of the highlights of the weekend will be seminars by nationally acclaimed Civil War authors and historians Ed Bearss, Jeff Wert and Ted Alexander, expected to draw people all over the country to Wilson College in Chambersburg on Saturday.
A Custer and Little Big Horn Memorabilia exhibit is planned in Greencastle's Allison-Antrim Museum. For the full article: www.therecordherald.com/articles/2006/01/28/local_news/news01.txt
