I will never understand why anyone vandalizes any place. Unfortunately, it has happened to the gravesite of Private William Montell George who was wounded during the hilltop fight and died on the Far West. There is a reward. Fat chance anyone will come forward with information.

Our very own Jim contributed the photographs of the gravesite of William Montell George found at www.lbha.org/Research/WilliamGeorge.htm. I'm not sure if the gunshots apparent in the photo are the vandalism discussed in the article or if there has been more. When did you take the photos, Jim?

I don't understand the vandalism either. A while back I posted about some destruction that took place at Gettysburg. I hope they find them and string them up.

The marker for Hodgson at LBH is also a target for Crow boys and their rifles. Again, I don't understand it. They should catch 'em and make them pay for a new one.

Unfortunately the bullet damage was there when I took the pictures a year ago when I was up there. It was just brought to the attention of the BLM and they responded with the reward.
