Billy, I've seen some of the Doctor's utility bags of the 1800's and it is amazing that they were called doctors. A couple of probes, some chroloform, maybe some quinine tabs, and a saw...man, I would hate to see one of those guys coming to my cabin! Anyway, a very interesting subject. I'll hafta to see if the library has a copy. Thanks for the post.

Hi Markland: While I do not have the book. It does seem interesting. I think you would like it. There is a webpage with a short review that says: "Military post and forts throughout the region are treated individually." This review is at: www.ahclark.com/publications/2003-pubcat-web.pdfIt's about 2/3rds to 3/4ths of the way down. There is a panel with about 4 to 5 books with line separators between them in small print. Take a look. I hope this helps.
