Hunk - "...why do you have to complicate this simple battle with 'Easter Parade?..."
And, here I thought I was giving a nod of recognition to our friends across the sea. The tune for Easter Parade is in fact the marching song of the 3rd Foot of Royal Swishers. Commonly known as the 'Queen's Own Reluctants'. Their performance at Waterloo left the French stunned and completely speechless.
The tune is quite steeped in tradition. Dating back to the Dark Ages and the reign of King Egbert the Unaware and his younger brother Prince Ethelbert the Unsteady.
If you, however, want to toss tradition out the door in favor of empty modernistic frivolities, then so be it.

"...Dirty Hippie ..."
Is that redundant? Sorry. I know... I know... 'SILENCE! I blah blah blah.'

[ quote author=admin board=lbhbooks thread=1878 post=55174 time=1208194110]TROLL! I BAN YOU! [/quote][/blockquote] Who do you think you are? Big Billy Goat Gruff? You are the absolute worstest Troll hater in the world. You are going to the top of my Troll Hater list, displacing the Gruff family who are now feeling sheepish and your name will be blazoned all over my wonderful website trollustergonewest.cuckoonut.dumbo for cruelty and hatred towards dumb trolls. By the way, what is your name? Nah-nah-nah-nah-nah and other intellectual barbs. Achmed

Achmed! I am so sad. You didn't recognize me. I am your seventh virginal wife, Saddiane. Perhaps you will remember me from this photograph.

Aha! So you are THAT Saddiane. I didn't recognise you with your clothes on at first, but those eyes - many a time have their smouldering fires made wish I hadn't exhausted myself with my first six wives. I should have know instinctively that 7 was my lucky number. I am now rushing off to Reno (the city not the Major) to divorce those six hussies so that I can at last taste your delights and get rid of the word between seventh and wife. I never have liked tinny sounding piano lookalikes anyway. SILENCE! I KISS YOU! Achmed (The Rudolph Valentino of the message boards)

I just had a query about the Richard Roberts manuscript. While preparing my reply, I was once again reminded of how much I miss Gordie. He was spot-on in his assessment of Roberts (see reply nos. 1 and 4). Roberts' "Reminiscences" were a total fraud.
God bless Gordie!

Goddess, I have come across another Richard Roberts 'narrative' in a reprint of the 'Bighorn Yellowstone Journal' from the original Free Press airing of August 6, 1876. It is no more factual than the manuscript which er, inspired, this thread, other than for the description of the widows arriving in Monroe. I trust all is well in Merkel land. "Hunk"

I will have to look for that Journal in the Merkel Land Library.
All is well here. I hope the same for you. Things have been very hectic for the past six weeks, but November should be calmer. I need calm right now.
