Remains of people with Caucasoid skeletons, some with red or blond hair, dating to the Cascade Period (8,-12,000 BC) have been found in British Columbia, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, and Nevada. One of the most famous is Spirit Cave Man, from Nevada. He was a redhead who lived 11,000 years ago and wore the world's oldest sandals. American Indians have agitated to have all these remains taken out of museums and out of the hands of scientists and destroyed, because they claim that these white people are somehow their ancestors. Ivory carvings from this period show bearded men with Caucasoid features. The Dene-Athabakan family of languages are related to languages spoken in Europe, such as Basque. Today, they are spoken in the Pacific Northwest. The Blackfeet Indian tribe, is different from most Indian tribes in having a large amount of blood type A. Nearly all Amerindians are blood type O.

Interesting stuff to be sure and real food for thought. I have an old NEWSWEEK magazine from several years ago with a large story on this rather touchy subject, but the facts remain that a number of caucasoid skulls have been found in America and date back thousands of years. The courts forced a number of these remains to be given to American Indians. We are all part of the 'family of man', but some people openly refute any connection to other races. They also want to rid history of any probablities or possibilities. I find that rather odd.

Why should anybody give a damn? We are what we are & despite the protestations of all these left & right schreechers, facts are indeed, facts. My wife has a favorite expression: "Live in the truth." I learned a long time ago, you never get hurt by the truth. If you do, then you are lying to yourself, & I personally, have little mercy & no pity for the fools who look in the mirror & cannot see themselves for what they really are.

And let's see now... wasn't there some guy in Germany about 70 years ago who thought himself a specialist in eugenics?

The fact is some remains have been found here that appear to be caucasoid. I think it's fascinating to speculate that there might have been migration to all sides of the continent. But all you lot can do is reduce it to racism just because I got a paragraph off a "white supremacist site" There have been documentaries, one fairly rcently, by History channel that speculate on a european migration thousands of years before Columbus. here have been scientific articles. And articles in TIME. BUt you lot reduce it all to racism. Again.

Get over yourselves. I posted it to stir debate, not fingerpointing.

You are absolutely correct & I have no problem debating it either way: from the racism side to the anthropological side. Not a problem. I am just a little sick & tired of these pseudo-intellectual diatribes from someone who decides to post some distantly-related topic & then berates a half-a-dozen people because we mis-construed where she wanted to go w/ the whole thread. She has done this "poor-me" act regarding one of her threads before & I'm tired of being "spoken" to like I am some 7-year old who switched the lab chick's test tubes.

I go out of my way[/b] to treat everyone[/b] on this Website w/ the utmost respect & deference & I at least expect a tad bit of manners in return. A simple, "'This' was my objective in posting this thread, not a discussion on racism," would have sufficed. Then us less-worldly types would have understood. If she does not want certain people to participate, fine, let me know in the preamble & I will stay off. This other idiot, GAC, did the same thing to me in early February, jumping all over my butt because he mis-construed something I posted. If he had read the whole thread, start to finish, he would have understood that I was not, & never had any intention of, insulting his insecure psyche.
