Hello Don, thanks for those websites, I've spent half the day with my face glued to the screen as I roamed around them, I particularly liked the siris mm site, found some very unusual photos of people like Gall and Kicking Bear, plus some fantastic ledger art, {another passion,} and lastly rarely seen photos of Pawnees, thanks, shan.

These sites are great! Does anyone know where I can get some of these for wallpaper?

Scout --
If you are using Windows XP (and probably older versions), it is very easy to create your own wallpaper. Find a photo you like online, right click on the photo and select "set wallpaper." You will be able to select its position and background color.
Your buddy Ron is having a great time in Rapid City, and he donated your portrait of GAC to the auction. Best of all, Chuck bought it for me! I love the remark. Thanks!

Diane,
Thanks Diane...I didn't know you could do that on the computer.... So glad you got the GAC portrait! My book goes to the printer next week...I'll send you a copy.
Keep an eye on Cap...he is prone to get into trouble when unsupervised! Have a great time at the conference.

Scout, I just figured out how to do this simple thing...was browsing through a computer basics type book and happened to open it to the appropriate page. I've got Windows XP, just right click on the image and then click "set as background"....there is nothing about "wallpaper" on the menu.
I currently have Custer's Memphis photo of 1873 as my background. Was wondering if anyone knows any sites with photos of soldiers, either portraits or in the field.
