Hello
I remember going through Indian estimates of their own numbers at LBH, and reading som pretty funny ones. The one I`m looking for is the highest one (yes, i know it`s wrong and all that). I think it was in the range of 36K, and in Rubbing out Long Hair 30k (warriors only) is mentioned but not by source. I thought it was Flat iron, but his estimates were 14k total.
Could anyone please help my with supplying a name here? It`s been driving me crazy and google can`t seem to help, and as usual I`m far from home with work so can`t check my books.
All te best, Noggy

Noggy, I can't remember one that high, maybe if Fred checks in, he can recall it from research. Whoever stated that did not take into account the size of pony/horse herd.
Regards, Tom

Regards, Tom Iit`s a combo of many years passing, rumors, maybe poor translation and basically not grasping such high numbers at all. I remember one NA saying something like "no honest man needs to know numbers above thousand", and such numbers were of no use in the daily lives of NAs. I don`t put anything into it of course, just irritates me that I can`t remember the bloody name. Alle the best, Geir
