I’m thinking it’s maybe a more modern opinion, or rule, that members of a family, especially siblings, should not be on active duty with each other, in the event they both or are all killed in the same engagement.
Not sure where and when this concept was brought into being, to prevent families losing several members at the exact same time, perhaps leaving no other sons with them

Clans and ruling families have often gone to war together throughout history. Today Western countries don`t fight for their and can take things like such into concern. Noggy

In this case only two were in the military, two were on a Summer junket. Previously GAC hired his dad in Texas, after the ACW, to put money in the old mans pocket, it caused some problems. Whether it was family or the press GAC was not alone in these days, but he stood out for going overboard. This was a military operation, not Spring Break.
