I'm from the UK and found this site today after it being referred to on a Zulu War group by a new member, from here perhaps, like myself, who wants us all to know the truth about Custer and LBH as I do about Durnford and Isandhlwana. I know a fair to reasonable amount about LBH as I also use comparisons in some of the books, that is the approaches they use, in investigating events when discussing Isandhlwana, the latter being mentioned in 1 or 2 of them

I`m from Norway myself but spend a lot of time across the pond, at least as much as the wallet allows. Isandhlwana and LBH are very natural battles to compare: Anglo-Saxon "White" colonialist armies versus dominating native martial people in abouth the same era, with the latter winning the battle but not the war. I myself know only the basics about Isandhlwana, however. If looking for LBH related info, I doubt you`ll find a board with more knowledgeable than this. All the best, Noggy

As a side note;
Being a German military history-guy, I thought that apart from the two mentioned battles Emil von Zelewski in GEA should be mentioned in the same mold.

Hello. Back again. Wasn’t sure this forum still existed, forgot my password, etc., thought everything was now on Facebook...but my account has been disabled there now for some reason for several months, but having acquired a few more LBH books...decided to pay a visit here as a break from my Isandhlwana interest. Not sure if my Col Durnford avatar is still showing on posts, but needless to say, he is a hero of mine...which I may have mentioned when I first joined a year or so ago...Anyway, nice to be back...nothing new to add I don’t think, as the books I obtained have mostly been available for ages

I am on four sites there-- admin three of them--and I do not recall you. It is nice to have those sites along with this one, which is basically the mother of them all. This has always been the best site. Best wishes and a Happy New Year, Fred.

No idea. It blocked, unblocked, locked then eventually disabled my account. I never did anything wrong...but I only used it for one LBH page and two AZW pages, no private stuff...so no great loss I guess, now having rejoined here and still on a Zulu War Forum.
Happy New Year to you too

Happy New Year to you too I am the admin on three sites: Little Big Horn Associates, Inc The George Armstrong Custer Forum General George A. Custer History Forum I am also a member of Billy Markland's Little Big Horn Discussion Group. Those are great sites and the discussions are equally good. Also, neither Billy nor I tolerate any of the nonsense you see on these more open forums. If we get any trolls and problem members, they get booted off immediately. I have belonged to others, but they are packed with idiots, so it is not worth my time and energy. You would be welcomed on any of those sites. Best wishes, Fred.
