Tom Interesting post with many nuggets of information I was not aware of for sure. I had read one time years ago that something like 60% of planes shot down in WW II by 2% of the pilots.
Pequod QC and Tom are many things but they are authentic if nothing else and active participants sharing many ideas, views and opinions. Both men have willing shared sources of information on the LBH and a multitude of other subjects. Being able to admit errors as well as congratulating others on accomplishments such as Yan web takes an authentic person. I still look to you to add opinions and ideas to the discussion other than pithy witticisms that occasionally turn shi!!y. Won't you share your knowledge and make the soup richer?
AZ Take care at the transition training event and be careful. It speaks well for your organization to use highly skilled instructors who have come close to the sell by date! I hope it is not as damn hot there as it is here with a heat index of 103 with the humidity of 83 percent. Regards Dave

Robb Just jump in and share your ideas and views. You obviously know quite a bit about this battle and have a lot of materials in your library so just share. I am sure you and QC could have some exciting and intriguing exchanges. Regards Dave

Then by all means don't engage, which was the thrust of the message.

Sigh,
Moby Dick, Robb, whatever.
You are an excellent Andrew Dice Clay. You have a talent for insulting and denigrating every poster.
You have not shown, in any post, ever, even the most basic knowledge of this battle. Nothing. Things like what State the battle took place in, what nations fought, the simplest of Wikipedia.
You are grossly ignorant based on what you post, not based on your claims of having read thousands of books.
I am amused that you take your sock puppet insult act on Quincannon. I know how that story will end. Just like France invading Germany in 1938.
We have been trying to get you involved in a discussion. A discussion involves reasonable discourse between knowledgeable people.
Yet your posts show you have maturity issues, and judgement issues. And for knowledge,..... you understand your posts show gross ignorance. You do not know which end of a weapon you place on your shoulder, and which end you point at bad guys. Capiche?
Stop being an ignorant ass.
We are your equals. Many are your better.
Disrespectfully,
William

Lol,
The gross ignorance and lack of maturity and judgement of poster Moby Dickhead is amusing.
Fred, tell me again why you told me to leave this ignoramus alone.
A community of folks form a free association, a compact, as you will.
How we treat one another in a community is vital. I live near Plymouth, MA, and have lived near Williamsburg, and many other places where immigrants formed what is now the USA. It was not always persuasion, frequently coercion.
I treat posters with dignity and respect, something I learned in the military. You did not learn this. This is a fault of your parents failing to raise a child, and your joining a soft skill broken MOS in a soft skill broken service.
In the military, and many other places: we can teach skills. We can not teach charachter. If your parents raised a psychopath, it can not be undone by battle drills.
I am amused that you continue to claim you have secret squirrel knowledge of this battle. In your delusional mind, you understand this battle better than anyone else, because of secrets that you can not post, explain, or articulate.
My advice to you is to try to be a mature adult.
This post is not aimed at this failure of a human being. We need to look at how we treat one another, and how we can have reasonable discussions.

Montrose, It's refreshing to see by your bombast, that I've managed to get under your skin and that is all I was attempting to do. Mission accomplished...! (Pequod) Robb you are one sad bastard, did you say that you were older than me? good god man my 11 year old grandson acts more mature.

Dave, QC has disqualified himself with his foul mouth and boorish attitude to ever have an intelligent discussion on the LBH. I've been studying the battle for well over 40 years and don't have to engage in small talk over which rifle can out shoot another rifle over a given distance with the wind coming from the SW quarter at 3:00 p.m. on a hot Sunday in June 1876. But, I appreciate your patience and civil manner. Robb (Pequod) I agree with you. You would not know what to do so it is unnecessary for you to engage in weapon systems and the level of proficiency of the troopers with the 7th. Regards AZ Ranger

Robb
As if we didn't know what your mission is on this board.
Why don't you share what you know about the weapon systems and skills of the 1874 Yellowstone Wagon Road and Prospecting Expedition as compared to the 7th cavalry?

yan Taylor, When your 11 year old grandson doesn't have to "act" to be more mature, then he's on his way to surpass his grandfather in maturity. Robb Ugh!

You must think highly of your advice and opinions. That is a mistake.

Pequod Congratulations! I have finally given up on you. I am unable to determine if you have skipped your meds or it you are not taking enough. I had hopes you would join in and be part of the discussion but you seem to enjoy being the ole codger imparting disparaging remarks. Sad, as I was sure you would really add to the mix and benefit all. Alas I was wrong. Regards Dave
Yan My 12 year old Grandson told me last week that he would take care of me when I got old and could not change the time on Timex watch because we were buddies! Felt pretty damn good and I know you and your boy are just as tight. I can just see both of them patting us on the head and saying "poor old man!" Regards Dave

Dave, It isn't the first time you've been wrong and it won't be the last. As for contributing my knowledge of the LBH, this is not the forum to wax erudite or jump through hoops for the entertainment of the uninformed on this board. But, this forum is entertaining for the opinions and occasional tidbits of "history". Pequod Ugh!
