I have just finished a book about Isaiah Dorman. It will be out in June, available at amazon and from me directly. With luck, it will soon be available from other vendors. In the meantime, I wrote a short article for the June issue of Wild West magazine. The point was to talk about all the myths. But the layout of accompanying photographs and sketches might have inadvertently created yet another bit of misinformation. I submitted a copy of the sketch used by Reasons and Patrick in their syndicated column back in the late 60s, early 70s, to show a FAKE sketch of Dorman. In the "fine print" of the article it does show the comparison with a photo of Custer on which I base my opinion that this sketch was purely imaginary. I recently saw it included in a FindAGrave contribution and also on Fold3. So, here is the comparison (Custer photo from LIBI 299A and FAKE Dorman sketch from Lincoln Star, Nov 24, 1974 - altho it appeared in many papers because the column was syndicated). Actually I will post the photo and sketch in this thread when I figure out how to do it! Attachments:

Lilah,
Good stuff, I look forward to your future posts on this topic and others. There are other writers here as well, you are in good company. Let us know when it comes out. Kindle version?
Regards, Tom

will work on kindle version when the paper is out and placed in venues for sale. I am not good technologically so am putting that task off until I can concentrate on it. It probably will turn out to be easier than I think - isn't that usually the way? And, thanks, Tom for the note.

For those of you who do not know of Lilah Pengra, I consider her the absolute expert on anything to do with Isaiah Dorman. No one knows more about this man than she does. Personally, I will buy anything she puts out on him and will certainly be buying her book when it is published.
You cannot go wrong with a pro, and this young lady is certainly that.
Best wishes, Fred.

thank you, Fred, for your vote of confidence. I'm still in the stage of "I should have mentioned x. I should have included Y." Where does one stop? But,it was time to get it into publication while I still can. It should be going to the printer this week, if all goes as planned. Of course, the best laid plans . . .

Tom Reb Cav is going to have to face the music in North Carolina and use the men's room. I am somewhat amazed that with all the difficulties this nation faces that we have to deal with men---perhaps women who are unsure as well---who some days feel rather feminine are denied the use of the ladies' room. I am influenced by my Christian beliefs to look upon this matter as a sad commentary of a world and society out of a balance.
ISIS, economic problems, hunger issues, national security concerns, Obama care insurance policies, illegal immigration not to mention a soaring deficit that our Great Grand Kids will be paying and we are concerned about a sexually confused individual's right to use the ladies' room. Political correctness has run amok! Regards Dave

Political correctness has run amok! Regards Dave I have always used the men's room. And I have no problem with North Carolina's Law. I agree that we have MUCH bigger issues than who feels feminine on any given day. And I HATE "Political Correctness". The Road to Hell is paved with "Political Correctness." That's why I come here.....To get away from schooling Commie Liberals on Facebook for a while. Respectfully, Duane

Dave, Enough of your liberal bent, quit picking on NC, I myself have had to use a ladies room in the past out of need. The only difference is I knocked 1st and locked the door. I found it generally neater and it smelled better. Of course none of this means squat to me, pun intended. I'll buy much of the rest of your rant. Was this post confusing enough. You see I am both sides of a two headed coin, dumba$$ on one side and smarta$$ on the other.
The Dorman book should be interesting as well, as I indicated in the thread.
Regards, Tom

We're veering into dangerous waters with politics regardless of what side of the political spectrum you are on. This forum is about the LBH so keep current politics where they belong . . . in the toilet!
