I just received a copy of a small pamphlet written by Peter Russell and a fellow named Leslie Hodgson. It is about one of Custer's troopers, John Stuart Stuart Forbes, known in the 7th Cavalry as John S. Hiley, a member of E Company, killed at the LBH. The booklet is published by The English Westerners Society, and in true British fashion, it is beautifully done.
Russell's research is peerless-- I know nothing about Leslie Hodgson, but if he is part of this, he deserves the same credit-- and the booklet is an absolute gem, something anyone who is interested in these men should own.
I believe it is $12 (U. S.), but they except cash only. It is really well worth the money; a fabulous story you well find nowhere else.
Best wishes, Fred.
