If Custer had arrived at LBH 2 or 3 days later than he did, does anyone think the village would still have been as large as it was? To feed that many people at least twice a day had to be a challenge. The food source, especially the animals would have been depleted within days.
Any one have any thoughts on this?

Regards dan25 Across the great divide there is the ASSoc tribes Forum and Herosrest just has posted a map of the camp movement for June, 1876 under Reno's "charge" in three master theses. Page 9. Yes I agree the carrying capacity of the land is being challenged. I tried to figure grazing issues but if they are there for just a few weeks it's not an issue. Food I am sure was. Don't know the turnip crop but warriors/hunters were foraging far.
