Dick MacLeod joined these boards a decade ago and remained an active member until shortly before his death. He was last on the boards the night of June 12, 2015, and had posted a few days before. He advocated creating a glossary of terms from the time period that would assist our understanding during conversations and mapping the original locations of the bodies on Last Stand Hill in order to understand the sequence of events. His posts were controversial from the start, not because of his knowledge of the battle but rather because of his style. He had a wicked sense of humor that was often misinterpreted as arrogance, but private messages and emails unveiled a man who cared deeply about others. I will miss him greatly. Article from the Boulder Daily Camera: www.dailycamera.com/news/boulder/ci_28502019/memorial-set-richard-macleod-onetime-boulder-theater-managerFred started a thread about him that became a wonderful tribute by diverse posters.
