I got weighed last week and I was 90 kg which is not good if you are a mere 5ft 9in, my cholesterol is 5.4 which is way too high, so during the week I have bran flakes with fruit followed by toast and tea, lunch is salad sandwiches and low fat yoghurt, apart from that I eat normally except at the weekend I loosen up a little and get out the bacon. Ian. Ian The cholesterol number alone is meaningless it is how the number is made up that counts. More importantly research High Fat Low Carbohydrate diets then get onto one asap and you will be amazed at how healthy you become. Cheers

Hi Mac I have an appointment with the doctor in around two weeks’ time, I may have an ulcer as I am getting a lot of acid, I found out my cholesterol results by phone, the nurse told me the level it was at but little else, I want to know what are my good/bad fat levels as you know some fat is ok.
Carbs make up a large part of my diet, I have cut back on the cheese and salt and I have been drinking semi-skimmed milk for over ten years, but to have a meal without potatoes, rice, pasta or bread is not an option as even if I have salad or steamed veg with meat of fish, I still have bread to bulk it out, just bad habits from my youth when you ate anything that was placed in front of you along with bread as the main staple.
Ian.
